I welcome you to my practice, now in Sebastopol, Sonoma County with one day each week in San Francisco. I look forward to serving you professionally: attentively, and ethically–in the months ahead. I am also available as an ongoing resource whom you may contact if a crisis or difficult life transition should occur in the future.
About My Practice
Since we appear to be ‘living in interesting times’ or — perhaps even, as some are calling it, a Brave New World — what I like to offer now, and what you may expect from me are the following:
* A broad generalist’s training in Clinical psychology and psychotherapy over many decades. Ongoing experiential ( both somatic and spiritual) work on the part of this therapist.
* my commitment to Presence, with attention primarily directed to the Relational field in which client and therapist engage/interface.
* A wealth of different tools culled from numerous disciplines and specializations, which arise in our therapy room as needed. These are derived from the various subfields in which I have worked since 1980, inclusive of:
1) DreamWork
2) Jungian Sandplay
3) Creative expression
4) Somatic psychology
5) Sex Therapy
6) Trauma resolution
7) CBT/ DBT
Beyond all this, I offer you :

Why Choose Me
Philosophy
My training is classically grounded in depth-oriented psychological theory, including ego and self-psychologies, also the traditions begun by C.G. Jung and W. Reich.
Expertise
Client-centered in my methods, I have studied eastern philosophy and spiritual practice for decades. Consistent with such views is my transpersonal orientation.
Approach
I always felt myself allied with existential and experiential humanists (Rogers, Maslow, Perls) in their emphasis on growth, self-actualization and the ongoing unfolding of an authentic self.
Experience
After 20 years experience as a generalist-practioner in a rural state, and as a parent, there are few psychological questions to which I have never been exposed.
My clients are folks like you, at every age and stage of life.
